Crain’s Announces Smokeball as One of 2021 Best Places to Work in Chicago

Smokeball is one of the best places to work in Chicago according to Crain’s. The Chicago business publication recently released its best places to work 2021 finalists, and Smokeball again made the list. 

While the final rankings of the companies won’t be released until April 9th, the Top 100 companies have already been named, and based on Smokeball’s success in fostering stellar working conditions, benefits, and corporate culture, the company was recognized as a great place to work. 

According to Crain’s, determining the “Best Places to Work in Chicago” involves a two-step process. The first step consists of evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation.  

The second part consists of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. This part was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the best companies and the final ranking.  

As a result, the results are from an outside, objective perspective, and an internal perspective, too. The ranking, then, is well earned in that Smokeball’s own employees think of their jobs and their workplace as one of the best. There are many reasons to agree, whether it be the majority female leadership, the commitment to core values that we live every day, or the fact that we’re the best legal software on the market, filing each employee with great pride in our product.
