Smokeball will put law firm trust accounting and billing software in the hands of all Mississippi Bar members at no cost, enabling them to improve client service and maintain compliance.

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI — April 10, 2025 - Smokeball, the industry-leading legal practice management software platform, announced a partnership with The Mississippi Bar today to provide all of its members with free access to Smokeball Bill, Smokeball’s trust accounting and billing software solution. This tool will help solo and small legal practitioners effectively, efficiently and compliantly manage their client trust accounts for improved client service.

Smokeball and The Mississippi Bar recognize the important role solo and small law firms play in every local community. However, many of these firms struggle to handle trust accounting and billing compliantly. Firms often rely on manual processes that hinder, disrupt or delay more high- value client work. By providing Smokeball Bill for free, all members of The Mississippi Bar will now have access to a user-friendly software solution that ensures trust accounting compliance and simplifies billing.

“By providing our members with free access to trust accounting software that empowers them to more efficiently comply with the Rules of Professional Conduct, we are taking another step toward the Mississippi Bar’s vision of becoming an invaluable partner in every attorney's practice,” said Deanne Mosley, Executive Director of The Mississippi Bar.

Manual trust account management often leads to compliance errors and malpractice claims. Smokeball Bill makes it simple for law firm members to easily comply with trust accounting regulations. The software also helps firms more easily send and collect invoices and bills.

This is Smokeball's 13th free product partnership with a state bar, following the announcement of its free product partnerships with the Alabama State Bar and others.
